Architect Pedro Ressano Garcia, has been studying the reconfiguration of the port cities, theme of his master and Ph.D. thesis.
In his workshop, in Lisbon, he aims to articulate theory and practice in architecture and urban drawing projects, participating also in national and international contests.
He initiated his academic contribution as a professor at the University of Berkeley, in California, and, since 1997, he is an assintant professor in the class of Project in the University Lusófona, Lisbon.
He has participated as an invited professor and conference speaker in portuguese and foreign universities. Since 2010 he is the Coordinator of the European Workshop on Waterfront Urban Design and participates regularly in international workshops.
He received studentships from the Foundation Calouste Gulbenkian, and the Foundation for Science and Technology. he publishes regularly in books, magazines and international seminars.
In 2010 received the prize of architecture Pancho Guedes.
